Innate: Rune Tattoos

Whenever Ryze deals a killing blow, he permanently gains a small bonus to his maximum mana (this bonus is increased if the killing blow was against an enemy champion).

Q: Overload

Ryze begins charging up a powerful orb of rune magic, doubling its damage and cost over a short period of time. If Ryze doesn't finish the spell within 4 seconds, he is refunded half the mana cost.

 

Ryze can cast Overload again to throw the orb at an enemy, dealing magic damage based on both AP and mana.

W: Arcane Grimoire

Ryze passively regenerates a small percentage of his maximum mana every second.

 

Upon activation, Ryze opens his grimoire, allowing him to cast spells more readily for a few seconds. While this ability is active, Overload charges twice as quickly, Spell Flux's cooldown and mana cost are halved, and Rune Prison's effects activate immediately.

E: Spell Flux

Ryze sends a destructive rune flying towards a target, dealing magic damage based on his AP and mana on impact, and causing them to take % bonus damage from Ryze's abilities (stacks up to 3 times). If Ryze casts Spell Flux again within a short window of time, its mana cost is increased by half (up to double the cost).

R: Rune Prison

Ryze marks a target with an array of runes. After a brief delay, the marked target takes magic damage based on Ryze's AP and mana, and is snared for a short duration.
